Hello readers!
I've decided to open a buying service for anyone who is interested in buying from Comicomi Studio and Horinlove books!
I'm still constructing the pages but I made a twitter selling account @shiro_splits01, where I will be posting offers to buy BL mangas (usually with bonuses) and goods that Comicomi and Horinlove offers.
I'm also open to buying stuff for you from Mandarake, but please limit it to BL goods and manga. If you are interested, just send me an e-mail using the contact form or at shiroreadsyou@gmail.com and I can definitely help you!
Ordering instructions will be posted on individual pages, but the process will be like this: there will be two payments, the cost of goods and the payment for the shipping fee will be paid later. This is especially important for Mandarake orders since I won't know the shipping fee until the items are confirmed and about to be shipped.
I'll only accept Paypal payments (you will shoulder the fees) for international buyers and for domestic (Philippine residents), I will accept bank deposits via BPI or BDO.
Once I received your order via e-mail or Twitter DM, I will send you the total and my payment details.
If you're a bit wary transacting with me since I'm new to this stuff, I can definitely provide proof of transactions since I do online selling as well. :)

Manga Haul 03: Minaduki Yuu
July is my birthday month so my haul this time is probably more than what I usually have, just because I work and I want to treat myself for my special day.
The title is Love Nest and tells about the story of the senpai in Sayonara Game who I initially hated but I loved him here. When it was announced that they will be publishing both volumes I was ecstatic! I wasn't able to order in time to get the tokutens but I at least got the manga. I was too excited that I ripped off the plastic wraps immediately and browsed through both books.
Anyway, I'm typing this post using a new phone and in an app so we'll see how it goes. If it looks funky, then you know why. :3
A quick look at my haul for this week! My Mandarake package that I ordered before the haul I posted previously has arrived. This one's a little late because I used a slower shipping method and I'm just glad it's here already.
This haul has 2 books from Minaduki Yuu that I'm really excited about. I was joking with a friend saying that the seme is my favorite middle aged seme/top because he's gorgeous, though his backstory is sad.
If it isn't obvious yet, I love Minaduki Yuu! The couple in this story are side characters in her other work, Sayonara Game / Change World.

Another manga that I am excited to get my hands on is Rift by Conro. Both this and Batsu Game are my favorites! And yes, I'm working on getting my hands on a copy of Batsu Game. :)
This one is an older release but I absolutely love Charao-kun to Haraguro-kun. These stepbrothers are funny as hell but they're super sweet too. Both are popular students and their classmates didn't know that their parents remarried each other so they're now related.
The last one I was a bit disappointed but I only have myself to blame since I didn't read through it carefully when I bought it.
I thought I got lucky since this is only 100 yen but turns out it was a 4p leaflet and not the whole manga volume! Toriaezu Kisushite Kudasai tells a story of two best friends who were so close that they didn't realize they were falling in love. I love how this ended because of the extra POV from a girl who loved one of these boys but decided to let go and just wish both of them happiness.
That's it! What do you think of my haul? Which one have you read and which one do you want to read?

Surprise! Kedamono Arashi tokuten scans
Every now and then I get surprised by the manga haul I buy from Mandarake. Since I get it at a lower price, I don't really expect getting all the tokutens, but surprise surprise, not this time.
I'm not sure if these are from Animate but I was browsing through Kedamono Arashi and when I flipped through the last page, I saw these:
So going in to Kiss Me Baby I still wasn't expecting anything but saw these inserted in the middle of the book.
What's the best thing to do? I scanned them. I busted out my old scanner and it still worked so I bring the goodies! I have the 2 papers included in both volumes, those papers with messages and illustrations from sensei and the leaflet.
(These are all LQ scans. I also adjusted the contrast for the scan of the back cover of the leaflet since the lettering doesn't really show.)
The current fan translations are only up to chapter 4 so if anyone who will translate this need the 4P leaflet for Kiss Me Baby, I can give you the files. Just send me an e-mail, credit me and we're good. :)
Anyway, that's all I have! The recent mangas I bought even from Japan last May are still all sealed, and because of this now I wanna open them and see if there's a surprise inside! If I find them I'll probably end up scanning them too. :3

Mandarake Haul 02: BL manga love
I'm back with my monthly (?) haul from Mandarake!
This time I focused on procuring just BL mangas since Mandarake offers good prices for mangas so it was tempting to just hoard.
To start off, I got 13 mangas.
It's a mix of old and new mangas that I really liked. I got them for good prices so I'm pretty happy with this haul. I've read most with English fan translations anyway, but I got a few that were interesting but have yet to be translated.
Innocent Love by Komashiro Michiwo
Red Beryl ni Sayonara by Michinoku Atami
I've never heard of Innocent Love but that cover makes me want to read it! And Red Beryl ni Sayonara is by Michinoku Atami so of course it's an automatic buy AND read for me.
Kyuuketsuki no Shouzou (Vol 1-2) by Kusumoto Hiroki
Yes yes, this has been licensed and translated to English (and is clled Vampire's Portrait!) but I can't find both Volume 1 and 2 being sold online so I bought the Japanese version instead.
Itadakimasu, Gochisousama by Kurahashi Tomo
Go-Nin no Ou (Vol 1) by Eniwa
Itadakimasu, Gochisousama is one of my favorites from Kurahashi Tomo! I love the 1st couple so much even with their age difference! And... I didn't realize that Go-Nin no Ou already has 4 volumes and it's still ongoing!? I need to start reading and get my hands on the other volumes.
Paradise View (Vol 1) by Kojima Lalako
Toshishita Kareshi no Renai Kanriheki (Vol 2) by Sakurabi Hashigo
Okay, I didn't realize that the Toshishita Kareshi copy I bought is the 2nd volume! I guess I need to buy the 1st one then. Also, I've never read nor watched Dakaretai Otoko but this one sounds like a good read so I probably will read that one too. Paradise View isn't really my favorite but it was priced really cheap so I bought a copy. XD
Lo Que Sera Sera by Kamo Nabako
Dream Land by Yoshida Yuuko
Admittedly I don't know anything about these two stories but fan translations for The Dream Land is ongoing so I will probably check that out. The summary for Que Sera Sera is interesting as well! I wish I can read the translations too.
The next three books are my recent favorites so I bought them faster than I can say BL!
Hebi no Yomeiri by Touno Umi
I've read this recently and the fan translations aren't complete yet but I'm loving it!
Kedamono Arashi by Kuroi Morry
Kedamono Arashi - Kiss Me Baby! - by Kuroi Morry
Oh this is my favorite among all the mangas I bought for this haul! The sequel was super cute and I love seeing their son!
I had all of these shipped via DHL, which was actually the cheapest, fastest and most hassle free shipping method for me. The shipping fee was a reasonable price and the package arrived 3 days earlier than the expected arrival date!
Anyway, so that's my haul! Which one have you read and which one are you interested in reading? Let me know in the comments!

Review: Coyote (Volume 1) by Ranmaru Zariya
And I am back with a review!
My all time favorite Zariya Ranmaru work is Void, so needless to say I have a pretty high expectation for Coyote. At the same time, I got excited when I found out that it was going to have an official English translation. (Thank you BL manga gods, aka SuBLime!) We do not have enough BL mangas translated into English, so any news about BL mangas being licensed / picked up for English release is always welcome!
Coyote (Volume 1) by Ranmaru Zariya
Published by: SuBLime
Release Date: 01 Nov 2018
Source: Bought
The story:
A forbidden romance between a werewolf and a human whose passion conceals a dark secret.
Coyote, a werewolf, goes through life hiding his true identity. But when a handsome human pianist catches him in heat, forbidden passion explodes.
Coyote avoids getting too involved with humans in order to conceal the fact that he's a werewolf. But Marlene, a pianist at a bar he frequents, is interested in him and just won't take no for an answer. When Coyote suddenly goes into heat for the first time, Marlene catches him while he's unable to maintain his human form and offers up a tempting invitation. Coyote wants to resist Marlene, but can he?
Forbidden supernatural romance between a werewolf and a human.
-----
Ohhh, the intrigue.
I have so many questions right after I flipped to the first page. Who's Lili? Who's Marleen? And then it starts.
The secrecy surrounding both Marleen and Lili's identities kept me reading. There's a sense of foreboding, where you're just waiting for the ball to drop and see if the connection between the two of them will be revealed. I love how the first volume held out key revelations while the story keeps on moving forward. Zariya's got the pacing done right here, the story gives way to little secrets that makes readers eagerly anticipate that scene where everything will be revealed... which probably won't happen until volume 2.
The smut scenes in Zariya's works are always my favorite. I love how it's always artfully drawn and just by looking at it, you feel the tension, passion and feelings both Marleen and Lili have in that moment when they were joined as one. It's hot, and totally well drawn. A real feast for the eyes!
I am genuinely curious to know how the fact that there is more to Lili and Marleen being a werewolf and human will change not just the dynamics of their relationship but resolve the main conflict as well. They're like Romeo and Juliet in a sense, both from rival clans who should've never fallen in love. Will Marleen continue pursuing Lili against all odds, despite who he is? Will Lili be able to look past Marleen's blood ties, his real identity and the role he plays in the conflict between werewolves and humans? There's so many things to consider, and I am looking forward to seeing how the story will unfold. There's so much to look forward to!
Buy it or skip it?
Definitely BUY IT. Zariya's stories will appeal to readers in a sense that it gives a lot. You want smut? Check. You want a good story with a solid plot? Check. Artfully drawn eye candies? Check. Feelings? Angst? Intrigue? Check check check.

お久しぶり!Plus manga haul O-Four
Hey there! I'm back!
I thought this blog was dead (for real) and it's been quite a while since I posted but I thought I'd give it another try. I guess blogging is unavoidable for me (I'm a former YA book blogger/reviewer) and I've decided to focus on my other passion: anime/manga. I'll mostly post reviews of manga here and the occasional anime rant, so bear with me!
I went to Japan with my mom last month and visited what I considered my second hometown, which is lovely Fukuoka. It's my 2nd time and I really prefer it more than Tokyo, since it has lesser people and is more laid back.
I didn't get to do much sight seeing since my mom can walk long distances so I was basically going around Tenjin and Hakata. I visited Ichiran for the 2nd time as well and the ramen was as delicious as the first time I ate there.
Our hotel room had an awesome view as well! It was a stone throw away from my favorite places, which was really convenient. We booked a small double room since we were on a budget but the hotel manager upgraded us to an awesome suite on our last night, so it was an amazing end to our vacation!
Of course I visited my favorite places (not temples!). Yep, I went to Lashinbang, Animate, and a friend messaged me last minute that there was a Suruga-ya branch near where we were staying!
I made two trips in Lashinbang and Book Off. The Super Bazaar branch is there so the selections are awesome! I'll be posting my manga haul (just the manga haul since I bought too many goods I didn't take much photo of them XD) and you can check out the photos below!
Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (囀る鳥は羽ばたかない) Volume 6 by Yoneda Kou
I bought this from Animate Tenjin so I got the tokuten from there. Just the 4P leaflet though, I was told the other bonus (a message from sensei? or was it a bonus paper?) wasn't available anymore. Still glad I got the leaflet though!
Aku yori Aku (悪より悪) by YOhida Yuuko
Goshujin sama to Kedama (ご主人さまとけだま) by Koshikawa Ao
Unmei no Kisu wa Oazuke (運命のキスはおあずけ) by Natsuki Hakka
Goshujin sama is a favorite of mine. I think I've cried after reading it. And Unmei no Kisu wa Oazuke is one of the best omegaverse stories I've read. Arisaka is one of the most decent alphas out there!
Kocchi muite, Ai (こっちむいて、愛) by Michinoku Atami
Netsuai Nante Ariemasen! (熱愛なんてありえません!) by Suzaka Shina
Gelateria Supernova Royal Vanilla (ジェラテリアスーパーノヴァroyal vanilla) by Kitahala Lyee
These three are my favorites as well! I can't simply pick which one I liked better because I love all three stories!
Mother's Spirit (volume 1) (マザーズ スピリット) by Enzou
On Doorstep (オンドアステップ) by CTK
Enzou's Mother's Spirit is also one of my favorites among her works!
Jealousy (ジェラシー) by Scarlet Beriko
Memento Scarlet (メメント スカーレット) by Kusabi Keri
Memento Scarlet's scanlation is still ongoing but I'm super tempted to browse the book to find out how it ends! Jealousy is probably the only Scarlet Beriko work I don't really like, and I hate Rogi with a passion (no one can change my mind about it after what he'd done to Tatsuyuki), but the price of the book was too good to pass up so I bought it!
And I also bought a few "oldies" which I really, really liked!
Wonderful Days by Tenzen Momoko
Heart Strings (ハート・ストリングス) by Norikazu Akira
Wonderful Days and Heart Strings are both examples of me liking the spin offs than the original story. I didn't like Lotus Eater and even though I liked Twin's Labyrinth, Yuki and Sakaki are still my favorite couple. They're so manly!
Aoi Haru, Akai Ito (青い春、赫い絲) by Kisayuki
Hengoku no Calendula (辺獄のカレンデュラ) by Haji
These are two mangas that I haven't read and I got curious about them so I bought copies. I've read Haji's Bouzu to Kumo and I loved it so I have high expectations over Hengoku no Calendula, which I think has been licensed to English and has been published!
I clearly remember buying 17 mangas but if you're counting, I only have sixteen so I'm not sure where the other manga went. XD
Anyway, this post really is just about me continuing to blog here, so look forward to more posts from me! I'm excited to revive this blog and I hope to get a comment or two from readers, if I ever have one.
Until next time!

Manga Haul 03: Drap and angsty manga combo
シロです。お久しぶり、皆!
I've been a little busy so I haven't had much time to update the blog, but here's my measly haul for the past few weeks. I've purchased (more or less) 20 manga in the time I haven't updated but I only have these to take photos of for now.
The two manga on the upper portion were purchased from CDJapan, and it took a while since our postal system's pretty slow. (Almost thought it got lost in the mail!) It took me a whole month for the package to arrive. Whew~
Now on to the titles!
カラスにダイヤモンド by 大槻ミゥ (Karasu ni Diamond by Ootsuki Miu) - I've read the manga and it is absolutely cute! Ootsuki Miu draws the cutest uke and even though Satori looks a little too girly for my taste, he's kind and caring. Otomura is the complete opposite of the timid Satori, but he's kind (in his own way) and he has a pet crow! How cool is that? I love how their meeting isn't really a coincidence (or is it?) and that it isn't just Otomura who's smitten by Satori, but the crow also likes him. Like master, like pet! This is adorable, and I love the backstory of how Otomura and Satori first met. A fluffy read and is one of my favorites from Ootsuki Miu!
ロナルドの野望 by 宝井さき (Ronald no Yabou by Takarai Saki) - I have also read this one and it's so funny! Poor Ronald. But is he really just enduring whatever his superior Captain Ashford dishes out on him? Ashford is such a tsundere, and has a twisted way of showing his love for the one important to him (Ronald!) where his parents are to blame! And he wouldn't change his ways easily. But more than that, Ronald (who was so smitten with Ashford) wants to be better to be worthy to stand beside Ashford. It's one part hilarious and one part sweet. The shenanigans that happens while Ronald and Ashford are both in character as soldiers up to Ashford'sdazzling and weird family situation, Ronald no Yabou is a laugh out loud fun kind of read. ^^
クロネコ彼氏のあふれ方 by 右京あやね (Kuroneko Kareshi no Afurekata Vol. 1 by Sakyou Aya) -I absolutely love Sakyou Aya and her works! I've been reading her Kuroneko Kareshi series from the start and her latest spin-off just brings in so much feelings while I was reading it. Looks like Keiichi and Shingo's still got a long way to go, as doubts start to creep in and muddle the relationship between the two cat shifters that will bring them apart. So much heartache and angst for this installment in the series!
終わらない不幸についての話 by 緒川千世 (Owaranai Fukou ni Tsuite no Hanashi by Ogawa Chise) - A spin-off of the Gosan no Heart series, this tells the story of Udou's older brother, Takayuki. While I didn't like Takayuki that much in Gosan no Heart, his story is an absolute delight to read. This is a lot tamer than most of Ogawa Chise's works, but I appreciated Takayuki's character more in this book. He's a sensitive guy at heart, trapped by an unfulfilled love that he never thought will ever be reciprocated. I almost forgot that Ogawa Chise can write such a story but she just poured on the drama and romance in this, which admittedly, I loved more than the original series. I can totally see why Takayuki couldn't move on from his unrequited love, Kiyotake is such a caring, wonderful, and understanding guy.
And last but not the least!
Drap featuring Nekota Yonezou and Moegi Yuu -I unfortunately couldn't find a link for this but it contains extras for Nekota Yonezou and Moegi Yuu's manga, Elektel Delusion and Katekyo! I've read both stories and they're both sizzling hot. Though they're not my favorite works of both authors, they still pack quite a punch especially in the smut department.
Extra:
I've managed to get my hands on a 日高ショーコ (Hidaka Shoko) book cover featuring Tanabe and Haruyama from her story, 知らない顔 (Shiranai Kao)!
If you have any manga haul you'd like to share, give me a link to your post!
The shenanigans that happens while Ronald and Ashford are both in character as soldiers up to Ashford's

Manga Haul 02: One Count Finder
シロです!
Since I'm online more often than not, I'm always on the lookout for affordable manga. Local bookstores only have so much and most are titles I don't really read, except for BL which (more often than not) is more expensive and the selection is very limited.
Finder: Prisoner in the Viewfinder by Ayano Yamane
You Will Fall in Love by Hinako Takanaga
Black Knight (Volume 3) by Kai Tsurugi
The Moon and the Sandals (Volume 1) by Fumi Yoshinaga
Good Morning by Natsumizu Ritsu
Ten Count (Volume 4) by Takarai Rihito
One Punch Man (Volume 3) by One / Yusuke Murata
One Punch Man (Volume 4) by One / Yusuke Murata
I'm still in the process of collecting all volumes of Yamane Ayano's Finder. Thank goodness they reprinted these! I just ordered Volume 6 and waiting for it to arrive so now I just need 5 and 1-3.
I'm reading the scanlations for One Punch Man but I knew I had to start collecting the manga! The latest release is Volume 5 and I'm still hunting for a copy. Also caught up with the latest (Japanese) volume release for Ten Count so I'm very pleased!
Any manga haul you'd like to share! Would love to see what you got!

Review: Good Morning by Natsumizu Ritsu
To start with, I'm a fan of Natsumizu Ritsu's works. Among my favorites are Love Romance Sweet Kiss and for BL manga fans, I'm sure you're all familiar with her K-Sensei series.
Good Morning is the first of her English translated manga of which I own, and I like how it's got both the familiar elements in her other works and still have something new to offer, as reflected in two contrasting stories in this book.
The story:
Good Morning: Hayashi, having drank the previous night, woke up naked next to Shinohara the next day. Shinohara is a worker from a company he's collaborating with, who told Hayashi that he was really surprised with what happened the night before as Hayashi was amazingly drunk. Problem is, Hayashi couldn't remember a thing!
The Melon Bread War: Fujino, an ordinary office worker who is easily bullied by his manager to do more work because he couldn't say no, loves eating melon bread. Enter the popular Kuraki, who started the same time as Fujino but in a different department and excels in everything, even in looks, noticed that Fujino likes melon bread so much that he issued a challenge: if Fujino admits he likes the melon bread Kuraki brings to him, he wins. And so their love story started.
What I liked:
Hayashi, who is straight, struggled quite a lot, and seeing his internal struggle, confusion and conflicted mind reflected in the pages as he slowly notices every little cute thing about Shinohara is one of the sweetest parts of the story. He went to such great lengths such as telling a fellow worker to flash his chest to see if he'll feel anything! Shinohara surprised me a little, as he appeared to me as a cool, confident guy with an unfazed attitude in the onset of the story but he turns out to be this shy reserved person at times, who is more innocent than the rumors about him make him to be. Sensitive Shinohara, who was blushing so much when he confessed to Hayashi.
The characters really aren't what they seem at the start, and my views of both Hayashi (who was really uncool, jealous and possessive) and Shinohara (who's very kind and understanding) were completely different after I've finished reading their story.
I really liked The Melon Bread War compared to the first story. It's such a simple but sweet comical story about two people who were at the polar ends of the popularity spectrum, brought together because of something unexpected: the quest to find the perfect kind of melon bread.
Finding out Kuraki's main motivation for the melon bread challenge gave me such a warm feeling and Fujino's obsession (which really doesn't have a special reason) with the bread is just so endearing. Their interaction (outside of the melon bread challenge) is also worth the read, as it shows how Kuraki's feelings isn't shallow or spontaneous, but that he's properly looking at Fujino, knowing what he's like, what he's capable of and recognizing his skills. Fujino is a bit slow on the uptake but he more than made up for it when he finally realized why there was even a melon bread challenge in the first place. His gradual transformation from a doormat to someone assertive is what made me like him more, showing other sides to his personality as the story progresses. Fujino's insecurities about his relationship with Kuraki, creating a misunderstanding between them, and finally having the courage to show their true feelings to each other wrapped the story up nicely. The Melon Bread War is definitely more than just about melon breads!
What I didn't like:
It must be because Hayashi was straight, but the way he keeps on insisting that Shinohara is gay and blaming every weird thing he was thinking of because of that got on my nerves a lot. I know he's struggling with his feelings but the fact that Shinohara IS gay is pretty known from the start, and it was well established that he has feelings for Hayashi even though Hayashi is straight.
(I obviously have no complaints about The Melon Bread War because Natsumizu Ritsu created such a good contrast and gave balance to both Kuraki and Fujino's characters.)
Overall:
Good Morning is a story filled with fluff and injected with a good amount of fun in the right moments. It's a pretty standard story, and you know that when Hayashi comes to terms with his feelings that the conflict will eventually be sorted out but I couldn't help but anticipate how it will still play out in the end. Natsumizu Ritsu has a knack from creating adorable characters which was really evident in the second story, The Melon Bread War and I just found myself enjoying while reading!
