Mandarake Haul 02: BL manga love

I'm back with my monthly (?) haul from Mandarake!

This time I focused on procuring just BL mangas since Mandarake offers good prices for mangas so it was tempting to just hoard.

To start off, I got 13 mangas.

It's a mix of old and new mangas that I really liked. I got them for good prices so I'm pretty happy with this haul. I've read most with English fan translations anyway, but I got a few that were interesting but have yet to be translated.

Innocent Love by Komashiro Michiwo
Red Beryl ni Sayonara by Michinoku Atami

I've never heard of Innocent Love but that cover makes me want to read it! And Red Beryl ni Sayonara is by Michinoku Atami so of course it's an automatic buy AND read for me.

Kyuuketsuki no Shouzou (Vol 1-2) by Kusumoto Hiroki

Yes yes, this has been licensed and translated to English (and is clled Vampire's Portrait!) but I can't find both Volume 1 and 2 being sold online so I bought the Japanese version instead.

Itadakimasu, Gochisousama by Kurahashi Tomo
Go-Nin no Ou (Vol 1) by Eniwa

Itadakimasu, Gochisousama is one of my favorites from Kurahashi Tomo! I love the 1st couple so much even with their age difference! And... I didn't realize that Go-Nin no Ou already has 4 volumes and it's still ongoing!? I need to start reading and get my hands on the other volumes.

Paradise View (Vol 1) by Kojima Lalako
Toshishita Kareshi no Renai Kanriheki (Vol 2) by Sakurabi Hashigo

Okay, I didn't realize that the Toshishita Kareshi copy I bought is the 2nd volume! I guess I need to buy the 1st one then. Also, I've never read nor watched Dakaretai Otoko but this one sounds like a good read so I probably will read that one too. Paradise View isn't really my favorite but it was priced really cheap so I bought a copy. XD

Lo Que Sera Sera by Kamo Nabako
Dream Land by Yoshida Yuuko

Admittedly I don't know anything about these two stories but fan translations for The Dream Land is ongoing so I will probably check that out. The summary for Que Sera Sera is interesting as well! I wish I can read the translations too.

The next three books are my recent favorites so I bought them faster than I can say BL!

Hebi no Yomeiri by Touno Umi

I've read this recently and the fan translations aren't complete yet but I'm loving it!

Kedamono Arashi by Kuroi Morry
Kedamono Arashi - Kiss Me Baby! - by Kuroi Morry

Oh this is my favorite among all the mangas I bought for this haul! The sequel was super cute and I love seeing their son!

I had all of these shipped via DHL, which was actually the cheapest, fastest and most hassle free shipping method for me. The shipping fee was a reasonable price and the package arrived 3 days earlier than the expected arrival date!

Anyway, so that's my haul! Which one have you read and which one are you interested in reading? Let me know in the comments!

Manga Haul 03: Drap and angsty manga combo

シロです。お久しぶり、皆!

I've been a little busy so I haven't had much time to update the blog, but here's my measly haul for the past few weeks. I've purchased (more or less) 20 manga in the time I haven't updated but I only have these to take photos of for now.

The two manga on the upper portion were purchased from CDJapan, and it took a while since our postal system's pretty slow. (Almost thought it got lost in the mail!) It took me a whole month for the package to arrive. Whew~

Now on to the titles!

カラスにダイヤモンド by 大槻ミゥ (Karasu ni Diamond by Ootsuki Miu) - I've read the manga and it is absolutely cute! Ootsuki Miu draws the cutest uke and even though Satori looks a little too girly for my taste, he's kind and caring. Otomura is the complete opposite of the timid Satori, but he's kind (in his own way) and he has a pet crow! How cool is that? I love how their meeting isn't really a coincidence (or is it?) and that it isn't just Otomura who's smitten by Satori, but the crow also likes him. Like master, like pet! This is adorable, and I love the backstory of how Otomura and Satori first met. A fluffy read and is one of my favorites from Ootsuki Miu!

ロナルドの野望 by 宝井さき (Ronald no Yabou by Takarai Saki) - I have also read this one and it's so funny! Poor Ronald. But is he really just enduring whatever his superior Captain Ashford dishes out on him? Ashford is such a tsundere, and has a twisted way of showing his love for the one important to him (Ronald!) where his parents are to blame! And he wouldn't change his ways easily. But more than that, Ronald (who was so smitten with Ashford) wants to be better to be worthy to stand beside Ashford. It's one part hilarious and one part sweet. The shenanigans that happens while Ronald and Ashford are both in character as soldiers up to Ashford's dazzling and weird family situation, Ronald no Yabou is a laugh out loud fun kind of read. ^^

クロネコ彼氏のあふれ方 by 右京あやね (Kuroneko Kareshi no Afurekata Vol. 1 by Sakyou Aya) -I absolutely love Sakyou Aya and her works! I've been reading her Kuroneko Kareshi series from the start and her latest spin-off just brings in so much feelings while I was reading it. Looks like Keiichi and Shingo's still got a long way to go, as doubts start to creep in and muddle the relationship between the two cat shifters that will bring them apart. So much heartache and angst for this installment in the series!

終わらない不幸についての話 by 緒川千世 (Owaranai Fukou ni Tsuite no Hanashi by Ogawa Chise) - A spin-off of the Gosan no Heart series, this tells the story of Udou's older brother, Takayuki. While I didn't like Takayuki that much in Gosan no Heart, his story is an absolute delight to read. This is a lot tamer than most of Ogawa Chise's works, but I appreciated Takayuki's character more in this book. He's a sensitive guy at heart, trapped by an unfulfilled love that he never thought will ever be reciprocated. I almost forgot that Ogawa Chise can write such a story but she just poured on the drama and romance in this, which admittedly, I loved more than the original series. I can totally see why Takayuki couldn't move on from his unrequited love, Kiyotake is such a caring, wonderful, and understanding guy.

And last but not the least!

Drap featuring Nekota Yonezou and Moegi Yuu -I unfortunately couldn't find a link for this but it contains extras for Nekota Yonezou and Moegi Yuu's manga, Elektel Delusion and Katekyo! I've read both stories and they're both sizzling hot. Though they're not my favorite works of both authors, they still pack quite a punch especially in the smut department.

Extra:

I've managed to get my hands on a 日高ショーコ (Hidaka Shoko) book cover featuring Tanabe and Haruyama from her story, 知らない顔 (Shiranai Kao)!

If you have any manga haul you'd like to share, give me a link to your post!

Manga Haul 02: One Count Finder

シロです!

Since I'm online more often than not, I'm always on the lookout for affordable manga. Local bookstores only have so much and most are titles I don't really read, except for BL which (more often than not) is more expensive and the selection is very limited.

---

Finder: Prisoner in the Viewfinder by Ayano Yamane
You Will Fall in Love by Hinako Takanaga
Black Knight (Volume 3) by Kai Tsurugi
The Moon and the Sandals (Volume 1) by Fumi Yoshinaga

---

Good Morning by Natsumizu Ritsu
Ten Count (Volume 4) by Takarai Rihito

---

One Punch Man (Volume 3) by One / Yusuke Murata
One Punch Man (Volume 4) by One / Yusuke Murata

I'm still in the process of collecting all volumes of Yamane Ayano's Finder. Thank goodness they reprinted these! I just ordered Volume 6 and waiting for it to arrive so now I just need 5 and 1-3.

I'm reading the scanlations for One Punch Man but I knew I had to start collecting the manga! The latest release is Volume 5 and I'm still hunting for a copy. Also caught up with the latest (Japanese) volume release for Ten Count so I'm very pleased!

Any manga haul you'd like to share! Would love to see what you got!

Manga haul 01: Welcome!

こんにちは、シロです。
Hi, it's Shiro.

My first official post on the blog will be this. I'm gradually starting to collect manga again, so if you want to find out what my haul is for the week, check the photo below.

いかさまメモリ (False Memories) Vol. 1 by Natsume Isaku
ホリミヤ Vol. 1 by Hero, Hagiwara Daisuke
ホリミヤ Vol. 2 by Hero, Hagiwara Daisuke
Totally Captivated Vol. 1 by Yoo Hajin

Both volumes or Horimiya are in Japanese. I know Horimiya has been licensed but we still don't have copies of Volume 1 here in the Philippines and I've been waiting patiently! I remember reading up to chapter 40 and I've lost track of what happened and I am in dire need of a re-read. Buying Japanese raws helps me remember and study what's left of the Nihongo I've learned years ago.

As for False Memories, here's a funny story. I bought this off a new friend on Facebook who knows I love reading Yaoi manga. We fangirled over our mutual love for Natsume Isaku's manga and she told me she had one which she was thinking of letting go so she can buy Guiltpleasure's In These Words. (Is it good? Because it's hella expensive.) I had to negotiate and use everything in my power to buy this. SO WORTH IT. I loved Renai Paradox so definitely looking forward to read this!

And last but not the least, Totally Captivated. I've read the manhwa years ago and I've always wanted to start collecting all 6 volumes but it's always hard to find Volume 1. This magically popped up in my local bookstore one day so I didn't hesitate and bought the copy right there and then. Ah, MooKyul. This is one of the very few Yaoi manga in Korean I've ever read, and I'm excited to start reading it again.

Very small haul this week for me. What did you get! Share your manga haul this week with me.
